A favorite memory will forever be the short time between cocktail hour and dinner, watching guests find their seats. All the elements we had planned finally coming together. The jitters of the ceremony over, the band music playing good old classics - Elton John, Billy Joel, etc. - it was the exact vibe we wanted for the wedding, a relaxed summer night, casual but elegant, special and memorable.
It’s hard to tell in these first photos that Hillary and Keenan are not dancers per se, and initially didn’t want to have a band at the wedding at all!
Keenan trying some unrehearsed dance moves… LOL.
Hillary’s dad cried the whole wedding! His only daughter!!
Mom and Dad toasting the newlyweds!
Hillary’s MOH gave the sweetest speech. They’ve been friends since 2nd grade!
Keenan gave the greatest Groom’s speech, truly. He is adorable.
Keenan’s brother, Liam also gave a darling speech!
Another brother, Nolan, also shared his thoughts with the crowd, but in the end was lovingly ushered off to a hearty round of applause. An unforgettable end to the speeches!
My sweet brother and sister-in-law dancing to their wedding song!
Love the shadows on the tent behind the bar as the sun finally started setting.
That double chandelier was a specific request and I couldn’t have been happier about it.
We thought these bears would be fun additions at the bars and they were a hit.
LOL
The late night dancing pics are dark, but the joy shines bright.
Keenan and Hillary having fun on the dance floor!
Hillary’s second dress had so much more fun than the ceremony dress. It was a standout of the night for sure.
Some more fun shots from the night…
After the food trucks were visited, cigars, mini-milkshakes and chocolate covered strawberries were passed, and the first band retired for the night, many of the guests were on the shuttles back to the hotel, but the late night partiers were treated to a private concert featuring Chris Clouse, band #2! I wish we could have started earlier in the day so more of our friends and family could have enjoyed this part of the night.
We had fun!
Were there some things we would do differently? Absolutely. But overall, I have to say, the wedding felt like a success. Hillary and Keenan were happy, and the night was beautiful and unforgettable. We felt and still carry with us an overwhelming sense of gratitude to have had our loved ones share the joy with us for this happy occasion. And thanks to Steve Steinhardt, we have thousands of photos to look back on!
Here are the links for all 18 wedding posts. It’s a bit ridiculous, but dear Lord I had fun putting them together.
